Fees
The fee for a 50-minute psychology session is $250. This fee applies to in-person sessions at our Collins St rooms in Melbourne CBD as well as telehealth sessions.
Rebates
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you have a referral as part of a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. Under this plan you can access up to 10 rebated psychology sessions each calendar year. The rebate is typically $149.05 per session.
You can attend sessions without a Mental Health Care Plan by paying the full fee.
Some private health funds offer rebates for psychology services. Please refer to your individual policy for details.
Basis Psychology welcomes referrals approved by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC). We are not currently accepting referrals under WorkCover, NDIS or DVA.
Cancellation policy
I understand that schedules can change. If an appointment needs to be rescheduled or canceled, I ask for as much notice as possible. This helps me offer the appointment to another person who may be waiting.
There is no charge for appointment that are cancelled or reschedules with more than 48 hour’s notice.
Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time may incur a 50% cancellation fee.
For late arrivals, the session will proceed for the remaining scheduled time and the full session fee will still apply. Clients who do not attend within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time may not be seen and the cancellation fee may apply.
