I feel like the wheels are coming off

When the way you've always coped stops working

Have you noticed that things aren't holding together the way they used to?

Perhaps work feels overwhelming, relationships are strained or you're struggling to keep up with expectations from other people and yourself.

You may be sleeping poorly, worrying constantly or finding it difficult to concentrate. Some days you might feel as though you're simply going through the motions. At other times, you may wonder whether you can keep managing everything at all.

Perhaps you've tried to get on with things and hoped they would settle down. Instead, nothing has really shifted or things have gradually become harder.

Why now?

Sometimes there is an obvious change: a new job, a relationship ending, moving cities, changes within your family or another major transition.

At other times, there isn't one big thing. Smaller pressures have accumulated until the way you've always coped is no longer enough.

You may be someone who is used to containing things, taking responsibility and getting on with what needs to be done. That can work for a long time.

But reaching a point where you're struggling doesn't necessarily mean you've suddenly become less capable. It may be a sign that the strategies you've relied on aren't giving you what you need anymore.

Understanding what's changed

Therapy gives us space to make sense of what's happening and understand what may be contributing to how you're feeling.

We can look at the immediate pressures in your life as well as patterns that may be making those pressures harder to manage.

From there, we can work towards practical changes that actually fit your life while developing a clearer understanding of yourself and what you need.

This isn't about “fixing” you. It's about understanding why things have become difficult now and finding a way forward that feels manageable and meaningful.
